My Vote is private?!

I am amazed at the numbers of people that are unwilling to say where they stand on political issues, especially at election time. A couple of thoughts on this.

First if you are unwilling to state your position on a politician or a policy, do you really believe it? I can understand if can’t defend your position or explain you position not wanting to reveal it. Maybe you want make your position known, because you know it is a morally indefensible position. Face it a true Christian knows when they are violating the moral fabric of scripture for what is convenient for them. How about the person that just continues to vote for someone because that is what grandpa said was right. Of course you don’t know why or have a clue what that person believes in. It just seems it is easy to say “My vote is private!”

Second, we know you private voters are really liberal dumb-uh-crats that can’t defend you position. The private voter does not want everyone around them to know how ignorant they really are. Hey, Mr. Private Voter we already know you are a pink-o-commi. We already know you don’t have a clue about the real world. We already know you don’t mind spending other people’s money. We already know that you want do what ever you want with no consequences. We also know we can’t change your mind. We know you don’t have a mind to change. Just go vote for liberal communist policy and politicians. The good news is the life span of those like you is short.

Finally, if you can’t adequately support your position on something you’re voting on, DON’T VOTE STUPID!!!

Actually, this post demonstrates exactly why I don't share. When I do share my vote, others who can't understand that we are all different with valid reasons for our opinions, tend to attack.

If I truly felt you understand that we all come to topics from different places, I would be more open to voicing my opinions.

As it is, with the things you say here, I have no need to share with you. Interaction with close minded, attacking people holds no value for me. That is why I only discuss the election with a select group.

I'm hoping that you take a moment to look at yourself and think about how you are coming across. Then, you may realize why people don't want to share with you.

There was nothing close minded about my comments rather I presented my argument and you failed to do anything except cry about being picked on. I am sure you only share your opinions with those who agree with you. As I said you do not have the ability to support your argument. I do understand we all come from different experiences, however truth is not defined by our individual experiences. Gravity is a fact and your experience does not change that. As for looking at myself I do that every day. I constantly place myself in situations that challenge everything I believe, since my beliefs are based in truth they withstand confrontation which I am sure your beliefs do not do. So enjoy your ignorance.

Nope. Wrong again. I share my opinion with many people who don't agree. However, they are are people with whom I can discuss and truly try to understand their point of view, which also helps me understand them as a person more.

However, the minute they start saying there is one truth and my view is the truth, I'm done.

And you say you do look at yourself and, yet, you are still surrounded by people who don't want to share. Hmmm...perhaps you are enjoying your ignorance?

There is only one truth. That is why it is called truth. Truth is absolute. The problem is you have convinced yourself that truth is relative; that is an opinion. Very few around me are unwilling to share. As a matter of fact most folks will share things with me that they would not share with anyone. My post was mainly directed to those who are in the public eye. However it seems the guilt of your poorly form convictions have caused this post to strike a nerve with you. You see the courage of my convictions allow me to be perfectly transparent concerning what I believe. Even in the face of judgemental hate monger liberals that attempt to intimedate me. Since by convictions are based on truth, I have no reason to recoil in the face of opposition.

And some day when you meet God, you will see the "truth". You will see that the hate and bad feelings you spread during your time on Earth, have not earned you a place by him.

Hate what hate? Where in this do you find hate? Why do you equate truth with hate? Although I will agree with you on one thing I have not earned a spot in Heaven. I could not nor could anyone else earn a place in heaven that is why Jesus the Christ came. The fact that you accuse me of hate proves that you are feeling guilty because of your indefensible position. I would also point out that you have attacked me from your first post concerning my observation. Understand the fact still remains that those who are liberal cannot defend their position and choose to hide behind some vague excuse of privacy or other goofy excuse. The fact also remains my opinion is based on truth, not my feelings on a matter.

This is America, and I have the legal right to believe what I want to believe & not explain it to anybody.

@ Beth dont disagree with either point you make. Yes this is America. Yes you have the legal right to keep your vote private. You have the right to believe what you want. You also have the right to not explain it. However even with all those things being true it does not mean you can logically or critically support your opinion. The point is not that it should be public, rather that some folks hide behind the private phrase only because they are unable to support their position.

Yes you are correct but that still does not mean you can support your posistion!
