Welfare is immoral and ungodly!

The recent financial crisis in our country has brought about some terrible things in our country. The financial bailouts of banks and large coorperations have simply reinforced how immoral the welfare system is.
First since the inception of welfare with FDR during the great depression the thought of the government must help us out of any crisis we face continues to grow. “A chicken in every pot” thinking allows the politician to simply write checks to anyone that is in financial difficulties. This method of governing encourages irresponsible behavior and poor planning. Corporations and individuals no longer feel they should make provisions for tough times because the government will take care of us. Fewer and fewer people have savings or more than two days worth of food on hand. As large as the government is it can never be large enough to meet the needs of everyone.
Here is another evil. Welfare is ungodly. The Scripture teaches that we should work. Work is actually a blessing, not a curse as we perceive it. In Genesis (Gen 2:15) Adam is told to take care of the Garden. This was not a punishment. It was the furtherance of Adam being created in God’s image. God was a worker. He created. He labored. He was active. He did not just sit by and watch things happen. Welfare goes against the concept of work. The Bible tells the harvesters to leave the corners and edges of the fields unharvested so the poor could come out and gather food for themselves. Nowhere in scripture is the concept of getting something for nothing presented. Everyone is required to work and provide for their family.
Welfare is a type of anti-christ. Anti-christ can be translated to mean instead of Christ, in addition to against Christ. People have become to depend on the welfare system instead of the Messiah. There no longer is a need for someone in a dire situation to press in and seek the face of God in difficulty. They simply look to the welfare monster to meet their needs. Difficulties no longer cause the poor to cry out the Lord, rather they cry out to the welfare anti-christ. Save us from our poverty. The disappointment is this welfare does not deliver freedom. It only delivers slavery.
So the next time someone attempts to present the virtue of welfare and all of its subdivisions remember you are dealing with evil. Evil must be defeated not negotiated with. Be prepared to reveal the truth of the evil that welfare and big government is. Deal with evil according to the scripture principles. Resist it and overcome it.

When seconds count…

The Local police are not doing an effective job protecting the citizens of the Dilworth area. The same citizens are scared and decide to hire their own security. The security they are hiring is the same local police that are not protecting them to begin with. Hmmm! There is so much fodder here I don't know if I can keep it brief.

Please understand this is not a slam on the local police. Most law enforcement officers are good. They really do want to do something good. What people don't understand is at its best law enforcement is reactionary. They seldom show up until after a crime is committed. There is a saying "when seconds count, the police are only minutes away." For those of you who don't understand let me explain it to you. I live in a very small town. I have called the police and asked them to respond to a situation. Now understand if I get in my truck and drive to the police station, I can be there in less than five minutes. The first officer arrived at my house in twelve minutes. For those of you that are screaming right now "Do you think the cops are just sitting around waiting on your phone call?" Well the answer is no and that is my point. I can deal with a threat right now. If an evil person kicks in my door to do harm to my family, I can stop it now. In the twelve minutes that I would have to wait on the police what could happen? In thirty seconds I could be shot and killed. In two minutes my entire family could be shot. In five minutes I could be shot and my wife and daughters kidnapped. Get the picture?

You see it is this simple. You are responsible for your safety and defense. No matter how good the police are unless they are standing right beside you they cannot stop an evil person. The residents of Dilworth should learn how to use a firearm. They should receive training in self defense. Their money would be better spent on learning to deal with the threat themselves. Even with the additional security they are hiring by the time the security arrives most likely the incident will be over.

Government decreases spending?

Someone sent me this article the other day from Market Watch about the looming recession. I realize the article is several months old, but it had some interesting points to make. However there was one point that I found hilarious. Here is a link to the article… 17 reasons America needs a Recession by Paul B. Farrell.
The one that I find hilarious is number four.

Budgeting
Force fiscal restraint back into government. America has been living way beyond its means for years: A recession will cut back revenues at all levels of government and cutbacks will encourage balanced budgeting.

Are you kidding me? Do you think for one minute, when the economy takes a dive the government will decrease spending? Our government, on no levels, has any concept of a reduction of spending. If their revenues decrease they simply raise taxes. They add fees or increase rates. The thought of decreasing spending is anathema to any government body.

In Charlotte, NC, the City's Water and Sewer department saw a decrease in revenue during a drought. They had implemented mandatory conservation of water, therefore less revenue. Do you think they decreased spending? NO! They went to the city council and asked for rate increase of 16% but only got 15%. Who would like to lay odds that they do not decrease the rate by 15% in June 2009? I would be willing to bet a month's water bill on it.

The cold hard fact is that short of a total economic collapse or revolution, our governments will never seriously decrease spending. Face it, we have moved into socialism with both parties steering us there. So Mr. Farrell keep dreaming, because recession or not our government will not decrease spending.

Free Kittens

FREE KITTENS

Little Suzy had a box of very small kittens that she was trying to give away, so she placed them out on the street corner with a sign "FREE KITTENS" next to them. Suddenly a big line of big black cars came up the street with several policemen on motorcycles in front. The cars all stopped and a tall man, with big ears, stepped out of the largest car, a Mercedes limousine.

"Hi, little girl, what do you have there in the box?" he asked. "Kittens!" Little Suzy said, "They're so small, their eyes are not even open yet." "What kind of kittens are they?" he asked. "Democrats," said Little Suzy.

The tall man, who was none other than D-IL Senator Obama, smiled and returned to his car and they all drove away.

Sensing a good photo opportunity, Senator Obama called his campaign manager and told him about the little girl and the kittens. Together, they planned to return the next day, have all the media there and tell everyone all over America about these great little kittens.

The next day, Little Suzy was back - standing on the corner with her box of kittens with the "FREE KITTENS" sign on it and, again. The big motorcade of black cars pulled up, this time with all the vans and trucks from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, CBC, MSNBC and five New York Times reporters. Everyone had their cameras ready and sound equipment turned "up" for the words. Then, Senator Obama got out of his limo and walked up to Little Suzy.

"Now, little girl, don't be frightened," he said, "I only want you to tell all these nice news people just what kind of kittens you're giving away today." "Yes sir, "Suzy said, "they're REPUBLICAN kittens."

Taken by complete surprise, Sen. Obama said, "But yesterday, you told me that they were DEMOCRATS." Little Suzy said, "Yes, Sir, I know. But today, they have their eyes open."

I could not have said it better!

Lesser of two evils?

In the last couple of weeks, I have heard this a lot. “Well, McCain is still better than Iambuma or Hellary!” Oh yeah how? Gun control maybe? Nope that’s not it, cause McCain has supported several gun control bills. Just take a look at www.gunowners.org/mccaintb.htm . What about Freedom of Speech? Do we really need to bring up McCain/Feingold incumbent protection bill? McCain was touted as a possible running mate with a democrat. The “Maverick” has gotten that title by selling out the conservatives every chance he gets. He has received money from Soros, a known enemy of the conservatives. Well at least he is pro-life. Or maybe he has not had the chance to sell that down the river too….yet! So why should I compromise my beliefs and values to vote for someone that will sell out everything I stand for? Oh yeah Supreme Court Justices! Am I the only one that remembers McCain as leader of the gang of fourteen? You know the fourteen that held up President Bush’s Federal Judges. The leader of the fourteen that refused to stand with the conservatives and confirm the judges. Do u really think that McCain is going to appoint anyone different than the other two commies will? At least if one of the other two are elected we can take a strong role as the opposition party and block the stupid stuff they will try to do. We can hopefully slow down the deterioration of our country. It boils down to this. McCain has already ignored once an oath he took before God. (I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;) In what fantasy world am I expected to believe that he will up hold the same oath as president?

Will the real liberal please stand up!

McCain supported amnesty for illegals. He co-sponsored one of the largest grabs of power by the Federal Government. He has aligned himself with gun ban groups every time it has been convenient. He has consistently shown a blatant disregard for the Constitution. He blocks the appointment of constructionist judges. Remember the gang of fourteen? Hmmmm! Now he wants me to believe he is a conservative?

Romney has supported gun bans. He still believes that the assault weapons ban is a good idea. He states that publically, even now. He has been pro-abortion until he decided to run for president. His state was a sanctuary state by default. Hmmmmm! Now he is a conservative.

Huckabee understands the Second Amendment. He understands it ensures our ability to defend ourselves against an oppressive government. He has consistently been pro-life. He has stated publically he will appoint federal judges who will follow the Constitution, not legislate from the bench. He cut taxes in Arkansas and left a surplus. He repaired the infrastructure that had been destroyed by the previous administration. Oh yeah, and when the people of Arkansas voted and asked that roads get improved, Governor Huckabee did what the people wanted. (Imagine that a politician doing what is asked of him!) Hmmmm! Now he is a liberal?

Talk about calling good, evil and evil, good. I think that some folks in the Republican Party have forgotten what a conservative is. They have definitely forgotten who the moral majority is. Well just like with Bob Dole, McCain is going to get his turn to lose the White House for us. Well, maybe something good will come out of President Hillary. Just the thought of that makes me nauseous. Of course, McCain is not much different. Excuse me while I go puke!

Romney not for president!

There has been a lot of talk about Mitt Romney and how he is really a conservative. The truth is Mitt is a chameleon. He changes his views to which ever political race he is engaged in. He is now pro-life and pro-gun will sort of. Pro-life is such a polarizing discussion you simply don't wake up one morning and decide "I'm for the other side!" Yet that is what Romney wants us to believe. Now on the gun issue, he still does not understand it. Gun rights are for individuals. He supports the "Assault Weapons Ban" (AWB). AWB did not deter any crime. Not to mention that criminals don't care about the law, that is the reason they are criminals. You have to be a real idiot to think any gun control stops criminals. They only thing that stops criminals is a well armed citizen. So if you do not have enough sense to understand life and liberty two fundamental tenants of our constitution, why would you have enough sense to be the POTUS? Romney go home!
